There are a number of ways you can fundraise for Carers Northumberland at work:

1 Nominate Carers Northumberland as your organisation’s  ‘Charity of the Year’

A partnership with Carers Northumberland can benefit your organisation in a number of ways. You can gain access to new audiences, provide a point of differentiation from your competitors and demonstrate corporate social responsibility.   You can also give your staff motivating goals to work towards that can build morale and team spirit. Your organisation could also choose to support us through payroll giving. 

Charity of the Year relationships are very important to Carers Northumberland as they are consistent and planned, allowing us to plan for future services to carers.  As such we offer significant support around PR and advice with Charity of the Year relationships.

2 Host your own event

If you are already planning events for your organisation you could choose Carers Northumberland as the charity beneficiary.  Maybe you are holding a ‘Stars in their Eyes’ or ‘X Factor’ themed event, a black tie ball, a bike ride or a challenging walk. 

Get in touch and as events specialists we may be able to give you valuable advice on how to keep your events safe and legal, how to attract PR and how you could generate as much money as possible for Carers Northumberland.  Please also fill in and return the ‘In aid of’ form.

3 Organise a one off workplace activity

You could organise a dress down (or up!) day, to recycle phones, a raffle, a cake sale, a swear box, a lunchtime car wash, a Christmas tree raffle, a give it up challenge (ie coffee/chocolate/taking the lift!).

4 Take part in one of our events/or another organised event

You could take part in one of our fundraising events or take part in events such as the Great North Run or the Northern Rock Cyclone and choose to raise money for Carers Northumberland.  Just get in touch and we will send you a sponsor form.

5 Arrange for managers in your workplace to receive ‘Carer Training’

With 34,000 carers in Northumberland it is likely that there are carers within your workforce.  Carer training is designed for managers in the workplace to give them information that will help them to identify and support the carers they manage, resulting in boosted staff morale and less sickness absence due to stress or other carer related issues.
